Petressa Nyamweya

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of a truly exceptional woman, Petressa Lois Nyamweya, lovingly known as "Peaches," on July 1, 2025. Born on August 21, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio, a city she held dear and called home throughout her life, Petressa was a beacon of resilience, love, and creativity. Her spirit, like a flame, illuminated every room she entered and warmed every heart she touched. Her legacy is not merely a memory of a wonderful life lived, but a continuous source of inspiration and love that will forever remain.

Petressa was a compassionate soul who treated everyone as family, irrespective of how long they had known her. She had an innate ability to make people feel special and loved. Through her actions, she personified the quote, "The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul." Petressa's beauty was reflected in her unwavering love for her three children, Hester, Jordan, and Aleckzander. They were the center of her universe and her greatest accomplishment.

Despite being born into a world full of challenges, Petressa navigated her journey with grace and resilience. Her creativity was not limited to her professional sphere, where she was much respected, but also spilled over into her personal life, beautifying every aspect of her existence. She was a testament to the fact that one's circumstances do not define them, but rather how they respond to those circumstances truly reveals their character.

In her honor, we celebrate an incredible woman who lived her life fully, loved deeply, and inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Petressa is survived by her loving children, Hester Walker, Jordan Walker, and Aleckzander Nyamweya. Her father preceded her in death.
