Dublin, Ohio
It is with a twinkle in my eye and an infectious chuckle that I, Melvina Jones, invite you to celebrate my journey. Just as I loved cracking jokes and laughing at old movies, I want this tribute to reflect the joy and light I tried to bring into the world. Born on the 11th of March, 1938, I was blessed to have a vibrant life until the 5th of February, 2026. In the words of my favorite singer, David Ruffin of the Temptations, "I know you want to leave me, but I refuse to let you go." So, just like the lyrics of this song, I refuse to let go of my love for you all, even from beyond.
My journey began in Cincinnati, Ohio, and led me to Dayton, before finally settling in Dublin, Ohio. I was known for my wit, my smart remarks, and my compassionate heart. My favorite pastime was playing BINGO, an activity that allowed my funny and competitive side to shine. Apart from this, I spent my days as a nurse assistant health care provider, showing an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others. Many will recall my love for my family, but only a few will understand my inside joke about David Ruffin and The Temptations. However, I assure you, it was hilarious.
I leave behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be carried on by my children, Tina, Leslie, Stephen Carol and James. They, along with my beloved brother Gregory, Nie'AShia Robinson and my 40 precious grandchildren, are the testimony of my life. I join my dear parents, Geneva and Seldom, my loving spouse Laurence, my children Denise, Kenneth, and Douglas, and my siblings Janet, Delores, Helen, and Norman, in the realm beyond.
As I always said, "Laughter is the shortest distance between two people." So, let's bridge the gap between earth and heavens with laughter, joy, and memories. I invite you to visit my memorial page, share your favorite stories, and upload photos. Let's make this a celebration of life, filled with laughter and love, as I would have wanted it. Remember me, Melvina, your Judy, and keep the laughter alive.
