​Columbus, Ohio – Mateo (Teo) the cherished six-month-old son of Rashaun and Malela, passed away gently in the arms of his loving family on June 23rd of 2026. Though his time on earth was short, he touched countless hearts and brought immense joy to everyone who knew him. Born on December 23rd of 2025, Mateo spent his six beautiful months filling his family’s home with smiles, laughter, and pure love. He leaves behind a family who adores him fiercely, including his devoted parents, Rashaun and Malela, and his big brother, Tremell, who loved him from the very very beginning and will always hold him close in his heart.He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Brittany and Timothy, Sue, Ramona and Kevin; paternal grandparents, DeCenber, Jovon, Renata, Lorena and Corey, Gwen and Garvin; Aunts, Kiara and KaShauna; Cousins, Jeremiah, Jihar and Zaliyah, A’laiya and many more dear family and friends.
