Latrina Danay Collins-Bass, age 48, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2026, following a long and courageous battle. She was born on June 13, 1978, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Victor and Luella Collins.
Latrina was a resilient soul who faced life’s challenges with strength, determination, and a spirit that could not easily be broken. She had an adventurous personality and knew how to make life interesting. She was outgoing, unapologetically herself, and never afraid to stand out. Latrina had her own unique style and way of doing things, and she was comfortable being exactly who she was. She didn’t live her life worrying about what other people thought — she followed her own path and stayed true to herself.
Latrina loved listening to music, reciting her favorite movie quotes, and giving people fun and memorable nicknames. She enjoyed a good skating session and was known for her impressive karaoke performances. She had a personality that could fill a room, and her sense of humor and individuality made her someone people would never forget.
Family was an important part of Latrina’s life, and she valued the time, memories, and experiences she shared with those closest to her. She had a way of leaving her mark on the people around her, whether it was through a laugh, a nickname, a favorite song, a funny moment, or simply being her unmistakable self.
Latrina is survived by her domestic partner, Tony Tyler (Puddin), and a large loving family. Her siblings include Victor Jr, Tamiko Collins, Kisia Collins, Ebony Gales, and Victoria Collins. Her memory will continue to live on through her nieces and nephews; Anissa Craig-Gales, Da’Neeja Craig-Gales, Joanna Coffman, Jayden Coffman, Noah Gales, Sir Coffman, Myrkle Smith, Kiera Collins, Candace Collins, Ashley Collins, Boyd Collins, Jayla Brown, Mykaia Jacobs, Mekhi Collins, Victor Collins Jr, Markelle Collins, Kewaun Collins, Keyron Collins, Kemar Collins, Kelijah Collins, Aaron Hamilton, Aaliyah Hamilton, Lueis Jr, Martee Davis, Cali Collins, Roshawn Collins and Khlia Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Luella Collins, her brother Lueis Collins, her beloved niece Toni Collins and brother in-law Benny Craig who welcomed her with open arms into eternal rest. Their lives touched hers in ways that will never be forgotten, and we find comfort knowing that she is reunited with those she loved and missed so dearly.
Latrina leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, love, and moments that will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
