Robert was born on October 17, 1967, in the bustling city of Columbus, Ohio. He was a beloved figure in his community in Stoutsville, Ohio, where he resided for a year and left an indelible mark.

Robert was a compassionate and loving soul who dedicated his life to his family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, his hobbies included making music and playing the guitar, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending quality time with his family, especially his cherished grandkids. His supportive nature and boundless love for his family were his most notable qualities. He believed that "Family is not an important thing, it's everything."

Robert is survived by his loving children, Dreama (Michael) Spurlock, Jessica Epling, and Robert (Nikki) Epling, and grandchildren Ayvah and Carson Day, Michael and Micha Spurlock, Noah and Savanna Epling, He was widowed, having been married for 33 years and been together 40+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Epling, and his brother, Roger Epling, and many more friends and family.
